BASEL Model

At Safety Bay Senior High School, we are committed to the education and development of your child. In order to support students and their families through the high school years, we have developed an innovative Student Services team to meet their needs.

The new student services structure, which has developed specialist teams to support students and families through behaviour, attendance, social and emotional, and learning, is known as BASEL. This model offers numerous benefits for both students and families.

Focused Support

With specialist teams dedicated to specific areas of support, students and families can receive targeted and tailored assistance that is best suited to their unique needs.

Improved Outcomes

By addressing specific issues such as behaviour, attendance, social and emotional well-being, and learning, students are more likely to succeed in school and achieve their full potential.

Enhanced Communication

The BASEL model encourages regular and open communication between students, families, and teachers, helping to build strong, supportive relationships and foster a positive school culture.

Better Coordination

With specialist teams working together, there is a greater level of coordination between different services, leading to a more seamless and efficient support experience for students and families.

Increased Accessibility

The BASEL model makes it easier for students and families to access the support they need, with dedicated teams available to provide guidance and assistance.

Professional Development

The BASEL model provides opportunities for staff to develop specialised skills and knowledge, which can benefit students and families and improve the overall quality of support services.

By adopting the BASEL model, our school can provide a more comprehensive and effective approach to student support, ensuring that students and families have access to the resources and services they need to succeed. This will ultimately lead to improved outcomes and a more positive school experience for all.
