Out of Local Area Application

Due to the high demand for places at our school the Department of Education has designated Safety Bay Senior High School as a local intake area school. Students and their family must live within the school boundary at the time the enrolment commences. The only exception to this, is if the student is accepted into one of our Specialist Programs.

Students who do not live inside the boundary may contact the school directly and apply to attend Safety Bay Senior High School by submitting an application for enrolment or registering for one of our Specialist Program trials.

Admission of students who live outside the local area boundary can only occur in compliance with Department of Education processes and if places are available.

Eligibility

Schools Online is a directory of all public schools in Western Australia.

Here you will find a range of information about each school, including school annual reports, student results and details of local-intake areas for student enrolments.

By inputting your address into the search bar on the Schools Online page, a list of local schools will appear of which your student is eligible to attend based on the school’s local intake area. If your address does not reside in Safety Bay Senior High School’s local intake area, you may contact the school directly and apply to attend our school by submitting an application for enrolment or registering for one of our Specialist Program trials.

Feeder Primary Schools

Safety Bay Senior High School operates in partnership with five local primary schools within our local intake area. These primary schools are Safety Bay Primary School, East Waikiki Primary School, Waikiki Primary School, Charthouse Primary School and Cooloongup Primary School.

Students that live within our local intake area and currently attend one of our feeder primary schools will receive an enrolment pack in the mail during Term 2 of Year 6, in preparation for their transition to high school the following year. These enrolment packages contain an Enrolment Information Handbook and a Student Enrolment Form, and will need to be returned to Safety Bay Senior High School with supporting documents, before the cut-off date.
