Charges and Voluntary Contributions

Voluntary Contributions

Requested in Years 7-10 up to $235. These contributions are used for textbooks, photocopying and materials for elective classes.

Compulsory Charges

Covers payments for additional resources for elective subjects in Lower School and all subjects in Senior School.

Voluntary Approved Requests

You can choose to contribute to the following: Building Fund (tax deductible), Chaplain Fund, Mental Health & Wellbeing Initiatives.

Other Optional Costs

Including the Year 7-9 Health Workbooks ($20) and the Year 7-10 MathsOnline Subscription ($14).

Financial Assistance

Secondary Assistance Scheme (SAS)

The State Government through the Department of Education provides an allowance to assist eligible families with secondary schooling costs. To be eligible parent/guardians must hold a valid Centrelink Health Care Card, Centrelink Pensioner Concession Card or Veterans' Affairs Pensioner Concession Card (blue only). Students must be listed on the claimants card (except for some year 11 and 12 students, or in cases of disability/health reasons).

The allowance consists of two components:

  • $300 Clothing Allowance paid directly to the parent/guardian or the school.
  • $235 Education Program Allowance paid directly to the school.

Application forms are available from our Accounts Office or completed electronically (please email [email protected] to request a digital form). Both sides of the applicable concession card need to be provided with the application. Applications must be completed by 11 April 2025.

 

Wanslea Grandcarers Support Scheme

The Wanslea Grandcarers Support Scheme is an annual payment to grandparents who have the full-time care of their grandchildren.

SaverPlus

You may be eligible for SaverPlus if you have a Health Care or Pensioner Concession Card, are at least 18 years old, have regular income from work, and have a child at school or study yourself. If you would like to find our more about how to access this scheme please email [email protected]

Centrepay

Centrepay can be offered free of charge to parents/guardians who receive regular payments from Centrelink. We are able to quickly and easily set up your Centrepay Account at the school to assist in making regular payments over the duration of the school year. Please see our Accounts Office for further information.
