Program Vision

The Safety Bay Senior High School Cheer-Dance Specialist Program is committed to developing strong and confident young people who strive for excellence and to reach their full potential.

Our vision is to help prepare students for their next phase of life beyond school, by setting high standards and expectations.

The program will teach valuable life lessons such as integrity, work ethic, mutual respect, accountability, and a high level of commitment.

We are dedicated to building champion athletes whilst representing our school with enthusiasm and pride.

Training Program

Students participate in Specialist Cheer and a range of dance styles across the week.

This time does not impact on the learning program of the students.

We are one of only two schools in WA that offers the opportunity for students to learn Cheerleading.

In addition students will participate in a number of performances and competitions throughout the year.

Academic Progress

Academic progress is an important part of the Safety Bay Senior High School Cheer-Dance Specialist Program.

Students are expected to work consistently across all subjects to maintain a high standard of academic performance, behaviour and attendance.

Failure to do so may result in the student being asked to leave the program.

Facilities and equipment

Safety Bay Senior High Cheer-Dance Specialist Program has the State’s only Cheerleading training facilities within a school.

The high standard of facilities for Dance and Cheerleading include gymnastics flooring, crash mats, mini tramp, sprung dance floor, mirrors, sound system and fitness training area.
